Quanzhou, Fujian Holds a Quanzhou-Themed Event for Taiwanese Youth

On July 28, Quanzhou, Fujian hosted the themed event “Bibo Dangyoung, QuanzhouTaiwan CoCreation — Taiwanese Youth Explore Quanzhou.” More than 50 young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait visited multiple cultural and industrial sites in Quanzhou over a twoday, onenight itinerary, experiencing the historical depth and dynamic development of this World Heritage city.
During the event, the young participants recited Yu Guangzhong’s “Luo Yang Bridge” together on Luoyang Bridge and watched intangible cultural heritage performances such as Zan Hua dance and Nanyin. The atmosphere of exchange on site was lively. Wu Zhengzhe, a young man from Chiayi, Taiwan, said that Quanzhou’s coastal scenery and cultural landscape felt familiar to him and deepened his understanding of the local area.
In addition to cultural experiences, the Taiwanese youth also visited the Baqi CrossStrait Micro Short Drama Industrial Park, the Strait Sculpture and Arts Cultural Park, and Anta’s “982 Innovation Space” exhibition hall to learn about the integration of culture and tourism, the inheritance of traditional craftsmanship, and the development of the private economy. The organizers said that Quanzhou has continued to hold a number of crossStrait youth exchange activities this year, further promoting the deepening of economic and trade cooperation, cultural exchange, and industrial collaboration.
