Oscotec signs a new drug licensing agreement with Aegis in the U.S.

Oscotec has signed a technology transfer agreement with the U.S. biotech company Axio Biosciences for cevydoplenib, a candidate treatment for autoimmune diseases. Under this agreement, Oscotec will transfer global exclusive development and commercialization rights and receive an upfront payment of $25 million. The deal includes milestones tied to development, regulatory approval, and commercialization stages, with a total potential value of up to $665 million. Separate royalties will also be paid after commercialization. The technology transfer proceeds will be split between Oscotec and Genosco at a ratio of 75% and 25%, respectively. Cevydoplenib is an oral smallmolecule drug candidate that selectively inhibits SYK and has completed global Phase 2 clinical trials for immune thrombocytopenia and rheumatoid arthritis. With this agreement as a turning point, Oscotec plans to expand the overseas commercialization of its autoimmune disease pipeline and focus future research and development on antiresistant cancer therapies.
