According to a statement from the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with approval from the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision recently filed a case to investigate and review serious violations of discipline and law by Guo Mingyue, former firstlevel inspector of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Shapingba District.
The notice shows that Guo Mingyue was found to have issues including disloyalty and dishonesty toward the Party, resistance to organizational review, unlawful acceptance of gift money, acceptance of banquets that may have affected the impartial performance of official duties, and engaging in profitmaking activities in violation of regulations. He also used his position to seek benefits for others in areas such as project contracting and fund allocation, and illegally accepted a huge amount of property.
After review by the standing committee of the Chongqing Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision and approval by the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, it was decided to expel Guo Mingyue from the Party, cancel his retirement benefits in accordance with regulations, confiscate his illegal gains from violations of discipline and law, and transfer the suspected criminal matter to the procuratorate for review and prosecution in accordance with the law, with the related property transferred together.
