Prime Minister Han Seong-sook Presents Tasks for AI Transformation and Responses to Suicide and Industrial Accidents

At the inauguration ceremony on the 2nd, Prime Minister Han Seongsook presented the AIdriven transformation, growth for all the people, and regionled balanced growth as key priorities. He stated that, together with regulatory rationalization, he would drive change by using AI across industry, education, healthcare, welfare, and public administration. In particular, he mentioned responding to suicides and industrial accident fatalities as tasks President Lee Jaemyung had first ordered at the Cabinet meeting. Prime Minister Han said he would analyze death data by type with AI to come up with tailored measures and reduce recurring accidents and social tragedies. Prime Minister Han also announced plans to reduce the burden of public documents and expand the AI People’s Secretary to make administrative services more efficient. He added that he would also support widening the benefits of growth to small and mediumsized enterprises and small business owners, and help regions become hubs for advanced industries.
