On the afternoon of July 16, President Xi Jinping met with Kazakh President Tokayev at the Shanghai West Suburb Guesthouse, who is in China to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and HighLevel Meeting on Global Governance of Artificial Intelligence.
Xi welcomed Tokayev to Shanghai for the conference and mentioned the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, stressing that the Party’s qualities of pursuing truth, rooting itself in the people, courageously shouldering its mission, and following the trend of development are important reasons for its continuous achievements.
Tokayev expressed gratitude to Xi and the Chinese side for their warm reception and congratulated the Communist Party of China on its 105th anniversary.
