According to a July 24 announcement from the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Zhou Xiqiao, former Party secretary and chairman of Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group Co., Ltd., has been placed under disciplinary review and investigation for serious violations of discipline and law, and has been expelled from the Party. The notice said Zhou Xiqiao resisted organizational investigation, sought benefits in employee recruitment, and illegally accepted gifts, cash gifts, and shopping cards, among other issues. He was also accused of using his position to seek gains for others in areas such as project bidding and contracting, and of illegally accepting a huge amount of money and property. The Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision said Zhou Xiqiao's conduct has constituted serious jobrelated violations and is suspected of the crime of bribery.
