Two people swept away by waves rescued at Yeongjin Beach in Gangneung, 1 dead

At Yeongjin Beach in Gangneung, Gangwon, on the morning of the 6th, two women who were swept away by waves were rescued by the coast guard. The report was received at around 5:09 a.m. The coastal patrol team of the Gangneung Coast Guard and Jumunjin Police Substation used rescue ropes to find and rescue both people floating in the water. Among them, a woman in her 30s was transported to a hospital in cardiac arrest but died, and a woman in her 20s is receiving treatment for hypothermia symptoms, but her life is not in danger.
