Li Qiang chaired a State Council executive meeting

On June 5, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council chaired an executive meeting of the State Council, heard a report on employment work, and reviewed and approved the "15th FiveYear Plan for Implementing the EmploymentFirst Strategy" and the "Regulations on Promoting Employment and Entrepreneurship for Exservice Members (Draft)". It also studied work on advancing newtype industrialization and the development of future industries. The meeting stressed that employment is the foundation of people’s livelihood. It called for improving employment promotion mechanisms and service systems around highquality and full employment, supporting employment for key groups such as college graduates, promoting the healthy development of flexible employment and new forms of employment, and strengthening protections for workers’ rights and interests. The meeting also proposed accelerating the advancement of newtype industrialization, promoting the upgrading of traditional industries, the growth of emerging industries, and the layout of future industries, and enhancing the resilience and security level of industrial and supply chains. At the same time, it called for strengthening forwardlooking technology R&D and improving support policies to prevent blind imitation in industrial development.
