Xiong Yongsen, a member of the China Zhi Gong Party and professor at Jinhua Vocational and Technical University, recently returned to China from Rwanda and began reaching out to local Chinesefunded enterprises, schools, and domestic companies to promote quadrilateral cooperation centered on agricultural machinery adaptation, technical training, and vocational education.
This summer, Xiong Yongsen stayed in Rwanda for 27 days, visiting Kigali, Musanze, the Eastern Province, the Southern Province, and other places in succession. He exchanged views with seven agricultural and machinery companies, learned about local needs for the use and maintenance of agricultural machinery, and conducted multiple technical training sessions for key personnel from enterprises and teachers and students from schools.
He said that Rwanda is mountainous and has a relatively weak foundation in agricultural mechanization, so related equipment needs to be localized and adapted to the local environment. After returning to China, he hopes to bring local needs back into the R&D, production, and vocational education process, and then take the adapted products, technologies, and talent training plans back to Rwanda to advance the implementation of cooperation.
