UNIS releases remake single ‘Sky Earth Star Earth’ today
UNIS remake single of Sky Earth Star Earth, reinterpreting a 90s hit song with a K-pop sensibility Check out UNIS’s kitschy charm, newly presented along with the Y2K promotional video
The group UNIS released their remake single ‘Sky, Earth, Stars, Earth’ at noon on the 8th. This song is a new reinterpretation, in UNIS’ own style, of the female duo VIVI’s hit song of the same name from 1997.
While preserving the original song’s upbeat melody and bright mood, it was reimagined to fit a contemporary sensibility by adding trendy Kpop sounds and UNIS’ signature kitschy charm. Some of the lyrics were also refined so that today’s idols and fans can relate to them more naturally.
Along with the music release, UNIS also unveiled a promotion video with a Y2K concept. The video features styling and props that evoke the atmosphere of that time. This project is interpreted as an attempt to deliver a different kind of enjoyment to both the generation that remembers 90s music and new listeners.
