Han Zheng Meets with British Foreign Secretary Cooper

Han Zheng said that in January this year, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Starmer agreed to advance a longterm, stable, comprehensive strategic partnership between China and the UK. Improving and developing ChinaUK relations is in the interests of the two peoples. The Chinese side hopes the two sides will strengthen strategic communication, consolidate the positive momentum in bilateral relations, expand cooperation, enhance peopletopeople exchanges, and strengthen coordination on issues such as multilateralism and reform of global governance. Cooper said that the UK and China have broad common interests and cooperation potential in areas such as economic and trade investment, artificial intelligence, green development, and responding to climate change. The British side is willing to work with the Chinese side to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and jointly address challenges through constructive dialogue and cooperation.
