Li Qiang Inspects and Stresses the Development of High-End Equipment Manufacturing in Dalian

Premier of the State Council Li Qiang emphasized during an inspection visit in Dalian, Liaoning, on June 22 that efforts should focus on the directions of intelligence, greening, and integration to promote the development of highend equipment manufacturing, accelerate the building of a modern industrial system, and inject new momentum into highquality development. Li Qiang successively visited Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. and China First Heavy Industries Group Dalian Nuclear Power & Petrochemical Co., Ltd. for inspections, gaining a detailed understanding of shipbuilding, the development of nuclear power and petrochemical equipment, digitalintelligent transformation, and the operation of major engineering projects. He commended the enterprises for their progress in technological breakthroughs and noted that highend shipbuilding and advanced nuclear power equipment are characterized by high technological content, long industrial chains, and strong driving effects. He said it is necessary to strengthen the dominant role of enterprises in innovation, advance collaborative research and key technological breakthroughs, and enhance independent innovation capabilities. Li Qiang also stated that the building of a modern industrial system should both foster emerging industries and transform and upgrade traditional industries. In areas such as highend petrochemical equipment, efforts should be accelerated to transform scientific and technological achievements, strengthen the application of digitalintelligent technologies, promote standard updating and green and lowcarbon development, and enhance the resilience and core competitiveness of industrial and supply chains.
