The conservative opposition ramped up its offensive on the 29th over the constitutional amendment controversy surrounding the possibility of President Lee Jaemyung serving a second consecutive term. The People Power Party demanded that the president personally state his opposition to another term, and strongly criticized the discussion itself.
People Power Party leader Jang Donghyuk took issue with National Assembly Speaker Woo Wonshik's remarks at a National Assembly press conference, arguing that President Lee must clearly declare before the public that there will be 'no second term.'
