Minor parties criticize the two-party monopoly politics at the final stage of the local elections and appeal for support

On the 2nd, the last day of the official campaign period for the June 3 local elections, minor parties such as the Rebuilding Korea Party, the Progressive Party, the New Reform Party, and the Justice Party appealed to voters to choose change in the twopartycentered political system. The Rebuilding Korea Party asked for support for its candidates, emphasizing the need to root out forces behind the insurrection and to foster political competition in the Honam region. The Progressive Party called on voters to rally behind ballot number 5 in the proportional representation race, while the New Reform Party criticized the two major parties and highlighted the need for a third party. The Justice Party sought to differentiate itself by putting forward progressive agendas such as inequality and the climate crisis. Each party stressed that through this election, it would break the monopoly structure and create different choices.
