On July 10, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Emergency Management once again allocated in advance 80 million yuan in central natural disaster relief funds to support the relocation and resettlement of disasteraffected people in Guangxi, transitional livelihood assistance, and the repair of damaged and collapsed homes.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Guangxi has been affected by persistent heavy rainfall, and the disaster situation has continued to worsen. The National Disaster Prevention, Reduction and Relief Committee has raised Guangxi’s emergency disaster relief response to Level III. Previously, on July 6, the relevant departments had already allocated 110 million yuan in advance.
The Ministry of Finance requested that Guangxi distribute the funds to the disasterstricken areas as soon as possible, strengthen fund supervision, and prevent funds from being held up, diverted, or misappropriated, so as to ensure that the disaster relief funds are effectively used for affected residents and the recovery of the disaster areas.
