Our country's first integrated computing-power and electricity green power direct supply project has been put into operation

The integrated computing-power and electricity green power direct supply project has taken root in Zhongwei, the first large-scale clean power supply solution for computing power Generates 4.3 billion kWh of electricity annually, cuts costs and carbon emissions, and learn about the latest progress in the East Data West Computing initiative

According to a report from CCTV News Client, China's first largescale green power direct supply project for coordinated computing and electricity — the 500,000kW photovoltaic power station of the China Datang Zhongwei Cloud Base — was officially put into operation on May 2. The project is located in Zhongwei, Ningxia, and relies on local new energy resources to provide direct power supply support for digital computing infrastructure. The project consists of a 500,000kW photovoltaic power station, a 1.5millionkW wind farm, and supporting energy storage facilities, aiming to give the computing power park a clean and relatively stable power supply while also reducing enterprise energy costs and carbon emissions. The report noted that this model is also a further implementation of the "East Data, West Computing" project in terms of coordination between energy and computing power. After the project reaches fullcapacity operation, its annual power generation is expected to reach 4.3 billion kWh, enough to meet the Zhongwei Cloud Base's electricity demand of 2.29 billion kWh, and it is said to reduce carbon emissions by about 3.65 million tons annually.
