On June 17, Xin Guobin, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, presided over a symposium and exchange activity on industrial economic performance for some provinces in Beijing. The meeting analyzed and assessed the current industrial economic performance and the situation in the second quarter, and studied related work measures and policy recommendations. The meeting pointed out that since the beginning of this year, the industrial economy has generally maintained a good start. The attendees emphasized the need to align thoughts and actions with the CPC Central Committee's judgment of the economic situation and deployment of economic work, uphold steady progress while ensuring stability, coordinate domestic economic work and international economic and trade struggles, balance development and security, and continue to consolidate the stable operation of the industrial economy. The meeting also proposed promoting better alignment between supply and demand, tapping the potential of domestic demand, and expanding highquality supply; accelerating the cultivation of new drivers of growth, advancing the special action on "AI + manufacturing" and the application of nextgeneration information technologies, addressing "involutionstyle" competition, and improving the quality of industrial development. At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen risk assessment and policy reserves,做好 support for struggling key enterprises, ensure energy supply during peak summer demand, and carry out emergency disaster prevention and mitigation work, with the aim of achieving stable industrial economic performance in the second quarter and fulfilling the annual target tasks.
