Beijing is accelerating the push to "put computing power in space" through artificial intelligence, with related exploration already extending to fields such as rocket engine research and development and the construction of space data centers.
According to reports, several new research and development institutions and scitech innovation companies in Beijing are verifying key technologies for space data centers, including energy acquisition and heat dissipation solutions. Compared with groundbased data centers, space data centers have different advantages in solar energy utilization and heat dissipation methods, but overall construction is still at the stage of technical verification.
In scientific research applications, artificial intelligence is also being used to improve the efficiency of rocket engine research and development. Relevant institutions say AI is helping connect the links of design, simulation, manufacturing, and testing, driving the R&D cycle from being measured in years to advancing on a monthly basis, and providing new approaches for material screening and engine optimization.
