As the conservative bloc is becoming more strongly unified ahead of the June 3 local elections, People Power Party leader Jang Donghyuk is expanding his public schedule. He held a press briefing at the National Assembly on the 5th, and he is scheduled to attend the Gyeonggi Provincial Party victory resolution rally on the 6th. Inside and outside the party, there is a view that the ruling party's push for a special counsel bill and the formation of the opposition camp's candidate lineup could serve as a chance to bring conservative supporters back together. Accordingly, there are forecasts that his attendance at provincial and city party events could increase further. At the briefing, Leader Jang continued his strong criticism of the current political situation and showed confidence. Within the party, there is also speculation that if results are achieved in the Yeongnam region and some eastern areas in this local election, the Jang leadership could maintain its momentum even after the election.
