According to the Ministry of Emergency Management of China, the National Headquarters for Flood Control and Drought Relief launched a Level IV emergency response for flood prevention and typhoon preparedness for Zhejiang and Fujian at 17:00 on the 8th. Meteorological forecasts show that Typhoon No. 9 of this year, "Bavi," is currently located over the northwestern Pacific Ocean, eastsoutheast of Keelung City, Taiwan, and is relatively strong. It will continue moving westward to northwestward, and is expected to first affect the northern coast of Taiwan Island on the 11th, before making landfall along the coast from Fuzhou Fuqing in Fujian to Wenling in Zhejiang. The National Headquarters for Flood Control and Drought Relief stated that it will timely raise or adjust the response level according to the development of the typhoon, and relevant areas need to continue做好 flood prevention, typhoon preparedness, and emergency readiness work.
