The Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, recently allocated 219 million yuan in central government funds to support agricultural disaster prevention and relief work. These funds will mainly be directed to seven provinces, including Inner Mongolia, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Guizhou, and Yunnan, and will be used primarily for measures such as replanting and reseeding crops, repairing damaged agricultural facilities, clearing and draining farmland channels to prevent waterlogging, and accelerating the drying of summer grain. Relevant departments said that this arrangement is intended to help disasterhit areas cope with the impacts of floods, hail, and other disasters, speed up the recovery of agricultural production, reduce agricultural losses, and lay the foundation for a bumper grain harvest.
