Electricity load in Heilongjiang Province has hit a record high for the same period in history
The Heilongjiang power grid's summer peak power supply assurance plan safeguards electricity use during high temperatures and ensures a stable power supply Coordinating hydropower, thermal power, biomass power generation, and interprovincial mutual support, click to learn how to keep the peak electricity demand under control
On August 5, the maximum electricity load of the Heilongjiang power grid reached 16.94 million kilowatts, an increase of 1.79 million kilowatts from last August's peak, up 11.8% year on year, setting a new historical record for the same period. Affected by the persistently hot and humid weather, the local power grid is now facing an important test in meeting the summer peak demand.
To ensure power supply, State Grid Heilongjiang Electric Power has formulated a summer peak power supply assurance plan, established a mechanism of daily tracking, weekly analysis, and monthly summary, continuously monitored load changes and new energy output, and coordinated hydropower, thermal power, biomass, and other generation resources in line with coal supply and demand conditions to ensure that generating units can stably step up during peak periods.
At the same time, the power sector has strengthened inspection and maintenance of key equipment such as transformers and cooling systems, and reduced the impact on users' electricity consumption through drones, infrared thermal imaging, and liveline work. The company has also used marketbased measures such as crossprovincial power trading and interprovincial mutual assistance to enhance its power reception capacity, and while ensuring local power supply, it is also promoting the outward transmission of surplus electricity.
