A report from China News Service in Xi'an on July 1 said that this traditional “hometown of aerospace power” is trying to shed the label of “strong in supporting parts, weak in overall capability” and build a new industrial calling card. The article says Xi'an's commercial aerospace sector has already made progress in niche areas such as satellite development, reusable propulsion, and onestop testing services. Zhongke Xiguang Aerospace has achieved fullchain independent R&D for hyperspectral satellites and promoted the inclusion of satellite data assets on the balance sheet; enterprises related to the Fourth Academy of CASC hold an important share in the field of solid engines for commercial rockets, while private companies are also accelerating their exploration of liquid engines and reusable technologies. At the same time, supporting links such as testing services and metal 3D printing in Xi'an are also filling gaps in the industrial chain. The local government has proposed that by 2030, the scale of the commercial aerospace industry should strive to exceed 100 billion yuan, and it will promote the landing of satellite super factories, rocket final assembly capabilities, and more application scenarios to strengthen the overall industrial ecosystem.
