Former Blue House Secretary Lee Jin-guk recommended for appointment as new Audit Commissioner

On the 26th, Board of Audit and Inspection Chairman Kim Hocheol recommended to President Lee Jaemyung that former Blue House Senior Secretary for the Judicial System Lee Jinguk be appointed as an Audit Commissioner.
An Audit Commissioner is a viceministerlevel position that deliberates and decides on the Board of Audit and Inspection's major audit plans and results, and the board consists of a total of six members. If the former secretary is appointed, appointees named by President Lee will hold a majority on the Audit Commission.
Former Secretary Lee Jinguk previously served as a research fellow at the Korean Institute of Criminology and a professor at Ajou University School of Law, and from July last year to January this year, he served as the Blue House Senior Secretary for the Judicial System. The Board of Audit and Inspection said it expects him to contribute to the design of judicial system reform measures and to creating a human rightsfriendly audit environment.
