Xi Jinping meets with Hun Sen: deepening China-Cambodia relations and advancing cooperation on the Industrial and Fish and Rice Corridor Strengthening security and law enforcement cooperation, jointly cracking down on telecom fraud, and unleashing more new momentum for cooperation
On the morning of June 26, Xi Jinping met with Cambodian People's Party President and Senate President Hun Sen at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, where the two sides exchanged views on ChinaCambodia relations and directions for cooperation.
Xi Jinping congratulated the Cambodian People's Party on its 75th anniversary and reviewed the continued progress made over the past year since his state visit to Cambodia in areas such as political mutual trust and practical cooperation, emphasizing that China will continue to support Cambodia in safeguarding its sovereignty and security and in pursuing a development path that suits its national conditions.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues including deepening partytoparty exchanges, advancing the construction of the "Industrial Development Corridor" and the "Fish and Rice Corridor," strengthening security cooperation, and jointly combating telecom and online fraud. Hun Sen said that Cambodia will continue to uphold friendship with China, advance cooperation such as the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, and is willing to strengthen law enforcement coordination and cooperation across multiple fields with China.
