On the first day of August, which falls on a Saturday, feelslike temperatures are expected to rise to around 35 degrees across most parts of the country, and the heatwave is likely to continue. According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, even in the morning of that day, temperatures in major cities including Seoul, Incheon, Suwon, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Busan were recorded in the high 20s to around 30 degrees. Daytime temperatures are forecast to range between 32 and 38 degrees, and many areas are expected to experience tropical nights, with the minimum temperature staying above 25 degrees even at night. The UV index is also expected to reach the 'very high' level in most parts of the country from noon onward. Waves at sea are expected to generally be around 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the waters off the East Sea, West Sea, and South Sea.
