SK Hynix closes down 0.27% ahead of ADR listing

On the 10th, the domestic stock market rose sharply as concerns about the semiconductor industry eased somewhat. Volatility was also high in the KOSPI and KOSDAQ, with buyside circuit breakers being triggered one after another during trading. The KOSPI rose 2.52% from the previous trading day, driven by net buying from institutions, and the KOSDAQ also jumped more than 5%. Expectations for improvement in the semiconductor industry were influenced by Meta's AI chip production plan and Micron's announcement of a largescale investment in the United States. SK hynix showed strength during the session as the offering price of its American depositary receipts (ADR), ahead of its listing on the U.S. Nasdaq that night, was set higher than its domestic common shares, but it later closed down 0.27% after profittaking sales emerged.
