According to a September 11 report from the Anhui Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision website, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Party Committee, the Anhui Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has opened a case to review and investigate serious violations of discipline and law by Xu Zhibao, former firstlevel inspector of the disciplinary inspection and supervision group stationed at the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress.
The notice says Xu Zhibao was accused of losing his ideals and convictions, violating the spirit of the Central Eightpoint Regulations, and improperly accepting banquets and travel arrangements; when the organization made inquiries, he failed to truthfully explain the issues, and improperly sought personnel benefits for others; he also had integrityrelated problems such as illegally accepting gifts and money, obtaining large returns through private lending, and borrowing money from entities under his management or service.
In addition, the notice said Xu Zhibao was also suspected of illegally interfering in and meddling with judicial activities, participating in gambling, and using his position, as well as the convenience formed by his former authority and status after retirement, to seek gains for others in areas such as project contracting and qualification approvals, and illegally accepting huge amounts of property.
