The 6th "Tell China's Stories in English Conference" Concludes in Beijing

The 6th “Tell China’s Stories in English Conference” concluded in Beijing on July 28. The event lasted 10 months, and 30 university students from across China and 30 international students studying in China from countries including the United States, Russia, Thailand, Egypt, and Brazil took part in the final showcase. Through segments such as themed speeches, impromptu Q&A, and talent performances, they competed for multiple awards. This year’s conference focused on youth and cultural communication. For the first time, a special overseas group session was held in Singapore, and a new shortvideo track, “See China Through One Thing,” was added to encourage contestants to tell China’s stories in more creative ways. Centering on themes such as “China’s Development and My Future” and “In China, for the World,” participants shared their experiences and observations about education, traditional culture, technological innovation, and more, drawing on their personal journeys. The awards ceremony was held on the evening of the 28th at the Grand Theater of the National Cultural Palace in Beijing, where Chinese and foreign youth presented songs and dances, opera, drama, and other performances on the same stage. The event organizers said they hope to use this platform to promote exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth and help more people understand and get to know China through stories.
