The Hunan Provincial Market Supervision Administration said that, as of the end of June this year, the province had cumulatively accepted 6,003 requests for expedited patent preexamination, and had promoted 4,674 innovative technologies to obtain national patent authorization, further supporting the patent portfolio of key core technologies.
Since the beginning of this year, the Hunan Intellectual Property Protection Center, the Changsha Intellectual Property Protection Center, and the Xiangtan Intellectual Property Protection Center have continued to provide fullchain services such as patent preexamination, rights protection, and confirmation of rights, focusing on key industries including advanced rail transit, engineering machinery, new materials, new energy, and biomedicine, thereby improving the efficiency of intellectual property protection.
Recently, the three nationallevel intellectual property protection centers signed the "2026 Task Letter for the Joint Construction of the ChangZhuTan Intellectual Property Protection Center Community," and will strengthen cooperation in six areas, including crossregional patent preexamination, coordinated case adjudication, and shared overseas intellectual property protection resources, promoting mutual access to intellectual property services, information sharing, and mutual recognition of outcomes among the three cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou, and Xiangtan.
