Beijing Launches International Exchange Program for Youth World Heritage Education
The World Heritage Education Youth International Exchange Program sets sail, linking Beijing’s swift migration corridor. Cross-continental study tours, mutual visits, and creative work go hand in hand, helping promote mutual learning among civilizations and the dissemination of heritage conservation.
On July 27, the “Following the Swift’s Journey to Promote Mutual Learning Among Civilizations” World Heritage Education Youth International Exchange Program was officially launched in Beijing, coinciding with the second anniversary of the successful inscription of the Beijing Central Axis on the World Heritage List.
Taking the intercontinental migratory route of the Beijing swifts as its thread, the program connects multiple regions across Asia, Europe, and Africa, and has designed four exchange routes covering Central Asia, Europe, North Africa, and Southern Africa. By combining world heritage exploration, cultural exchange, and reciprocal visits between sister schools, it is building a transcontinental youth cooperation network.
The program also offers study courses centered on themes such as swift ecology, urban biodiversity, the protection of natural and cultural heritage, and AIbased digital revitalization. In addition, through practical groups focused on intangible cultural heritage creative products, calligraphy, painting, and literature, foreignlanguage presentations, ecological monitoring, video production, and arts performances, students can take part in learning and creative activities in different areas according to their interests.
