According to a July 3 notice from the Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Chen Jiyong, former deputy general manager of Guangxi Forestry Group Co., Ltd., has been placed under investigation and disciplinary review for serious violations of Party discipline and the law, and has been given sanctions. The notice said that Chen Jiyong had lost his ideals and convictions, violated the spirit of the Central EightPoint Regulations, and was involved in issues such as illegally accepting gifts and money, accepting banquets that could affect the fair performance of his official duties, and engaging in profitmaking activities in violation of regulations.
