Delegation from Brazilian Universities Visits Hengshui to Promote Educational and Cultural Exchange

A delegation from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil recently visited Hengshui, Hebei. The itinerary covered universities, intangible cultural heritage venues, and agricultural bases, aiming to strengthen exchange and cooperation between China and Brazil in the fields of education, culture, and technology. The delegation visited Hengshui from July 23 to 26, touring places such as the Jizhou Museum, Dao'an Temple in Jizhou, and the Hengshui Inner Painting Art Museum, to learn about the protection and inheritance of local traditional culture. Members of the delegation said that the practices of Chinese local cities in protecting cultural heritage left a deep impression on them. At Hengshui University, the two sides exchanged views on topics including talent cultivation, academic research, and mutual visits between teachers and students, and signed a memorandum of understanding on interuniversity cooperation. The university said it will subsequently promote joint course development and personnel exchanges, so that cooperation can continue at the grassroots and youth levels. In addition, the delegation also went to Wuyi County to visit specialty agricultural projects, focusing on learning about the application of technologies such as waterfertilizer integration drip irrigation and IoT automatic control systems in agricultural production. Brazilian representatives believed that such technologyenabled approaches to agriculture are worth learning from.
