The Sixth Session of the Beijing Series of Reports on Livelihood Guarantee for High-Quality Development Held

The sixth lecture in the series on the situation and policies, titled “Safeguarding and Improving People’s Livelihoods in HighQuality Development,” jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Working Committee of the Central and State Organs, the Ministry of Education, the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, and the Beijing Municipal Committee, was held in Beijing on July 23. Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Minister of Education, delivered a special report, elaborating on “striving to advance the building of a strong education country and providing education that satisfies the people.” Huai Jinpeng said that since the 18th CPC National Congress, the Party Central Committee has attached great importance to education, promoting the continuous improvement in the scale and quality of China’s education system, with steadily enhanced education access, fairness, and capacity to serve national strategies. He noted that education in the new era has made significant progress in areas such as fostering virtue through education, public services, support for scitech innovation, and education reform. He also mentioned that during the “15th FiveYear Plan” period, the building of a strong education country will face new situations and new tasks, and must adapt to changes in science and technology, demographic shifts, and adjustments in the international environment, continue to advance equitable and highquality education services, strengthen the teaching workforce, deepen comprehensive education reform, and expand highlevel openingup in education to the outside world, thereby providing support for Chinese modernization.
