Cai Qi visited and extended greetings to experts vacationing in Beidaihe for the summer

Entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, visited experts on summer vacation in Beidaihe on August 3 and, on behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, extended greetings to experts and professionals across the country in all fields and sectors. Cai Qi said that since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee has continuously advanced the strategy of strengthening the country through talent in the new era, coordinated the development of education, science and technology, and talent, and provided talent support for building a strong country and realizing national rejuvenation. He encouraged experts and professionals to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, carry forward the spirit of scientists, focus on key core technologies, basic research, and philosophy and social sciences, and work with vigor and innovation to make new contributions in their respective positions. According to reports, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council invite outstanding expert representatives to take a vacation in Beidaihe, which is an important institutional arrangement in the Party and the country's talent work. This year's vacation program is themed "Advancing the 15th FiveYear Plan," and the participants mainly come from the fields of basic research, strategic frontier science and technology, key core technologies, and philosophy and social sciences.
