Some railway trains in the Yangtze River Delta temporarily suspended due to Typhoon "Bavi"; vessels return to port to shelter from the wind

Affected by Typhoon "Bavi," some railway trains in the Yangtze River Delta region will be temporarily suspended starting July 11. China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd. said that relevant departments have activated emergency response measures for typhoon and flood prevention, and will dynamically adjust train operation plans according to weather and service conditions. According to the arrangement, from July 11 to 14, some trains passing through multiple railway sections in the Yangtze River Delta will be temporarily suspended in batches during certain time periods, involving several lines such as the HangzhouShenzhen Railway, ShanghaiKunming HighSpeed Railway, BeijingShanghai HighSpeed Railway, and ShanghaiNanjing Intercity HighSpeed Railway. Railway authorities remind passengers to pay timely attention to station announcements and official information, and adjust their travel plans accordingly. Windproof measures have also been implemented simultaneously in maritime and fisheries sectors. The Jiangsu Maritime Safety Administration has raised its typhoon defense response to Level II. Anchored vessels in the Jiangsu section of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, offshore wind power operation and maintenance vessels, fishing boats, and passenger ferries have all returned to port or suspended operations as required to ensure the safety of personnel and vessels. Meteorological authorities expect that "Bavi" will continue moving toward the coast of Zhejiang and may make landfall in the area between Sanmen and Cangnan in Zhejiang early on the 12th.
