Russian Study Tour Group Experiences Dragon Boat Festival Customs on Dongning Campus

Recently, a youth study tour group from Vladivostok, Russia visited Dongning No. 2 Primary School and the Special Education School in Heilongjiang Province's Dongning City, taking part in smart calligraphy and Dragon Boat Festival folkcustom activities to get a close look at traditional Chinese culture. At Dongning Special Education School, teachers and students introduced the cultural significance of the Dragon Boat Festival to the Russian students through activities such as explaining the origins of the festival, making zongzi, and weaving red blessing cords. These activities also allowed them to feel the warm interactions on a Chinese campus. Through their joint participation, the young people of the two countries enhanced exchange and understanding. At Dongning No. 2 Primary School, the Russian students experienced brush writing for the first time, copying Chinese characters such as "fu" and traditional patterns, and appreciating the beauty of Chinese characters and the charm of calligraphy art. The report noted that this event built a platform for cultural exchange for young people from China and Russia, further bringing them closer together.
