SK Hynix expects to be revalued in the U.S. market after listing on Nasdaq

SK Hynix's Nasdaq listing and $26.5 billion fundraising strengthen its HBM competitiveness Amid expectations of a revaluation in the U.S., attention is also focused on whether the gap with Micron will narrow

SK hynix raised $26.5 billion by listing on the U.S. Nasdaq market on the 10th. The offering price was set at $149 per ADR, and on the first day of trading, the ADR price closed at $168, up 13% from the offering price. This listing is drawing attention as a possible opportunity for SK hynix to be revalued in the U.S. stock market. In particular, because it holds a high share of the HBM market, interest is focused on whether the valuation gap with U.S. memory semiconductor maker Micron will narrow. The funds raised will be used for domestic and overseas facility investments and to secure advanced packaging equipment. Based on this, SK hynix also presented a plan to maintain its HBM competitiveness and expand into an AI memory business encompassing CXL, HBF, and enterprise SSDs. However, investment pressure from the U.S. government and regulatory changes are seen as potential variables going forward.
