On October 6, the Guangxi Agricultural Mechanization Service Center said that the Guangxi “Didi Farm Machinery” platform has entered a digital management phase since its trial operation began in October 2025. As of the end of September 2026, the platform had more than 9,000 registered users, over 17,500 Beidou remote monitoring terminals connected, and had facilitated over 620,000 mu of agricultural machinery operations in total. By integrating information on farm machinery operators, cooperative equipment, and farmers’ operational needs, and combining cloud computing, big data, the Internet of Things, and Beidou highprecision positioning, the platform enables order matching, intelligent dispatching, and data interconnection. Farmers can post their needs on their phones, and the system will push orders to nearby qualified farm machinery operators, reducing intermediary steps and search costs. Guangxi said this model helps improve the utilization rate of farm machinery, reduce emptyrunning rates and idle time, and ease problems such as difficulty finding machinery and high machinery usage costs. The platform currently covers industries such as rice, sugarcane, corn, and star anise, and has added mobile application functions for farm machinery purchase subsidies and operational subsidies. Next, the local government also plans to expand the pilot scope and promote the access of more smart and green farm machinery to the platform.
