The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development coordinates the National Water Supply Emergency Base to support Guigang, Guangxi

Affected by Typhoon "Maysak," water supply in some areas of Guigang, Guangxi was disrupted. On the evening of July 8, the Ministry of Housing and UrbanRural Development coordinated the South China Base of the National Water Supply Emergency Rescue Center (Guangzhou) to rush to the area and carry out emergency water supply support work. The emergency team arrived in Guigang with equipment including emergency water purification trucks, water quality testing vehicles, and communication command vehicles. When operating at full capacity, the relevant equipment can meet the basic drinking water needs of about 40,000 people. The Ministry of Housing and UrbanRural Development also dispatched two experts from the National Water Supply Water Quality Monitoring Center to the site to provide technical support. At 6 a.m. on July 9, the rescue team had arrived and, in accordance with the local unified deployment, carried out reconnaissance, selected water intake points, and performed emergency water purification. At 1 p.m. that day, after the water quality test results were found to be qualified, the emergency water purification truck began supplying water to residents.
