Man in his 40s strolling around the road shirtless, assaulted police and was arrested after being hit by a Taser

A man in his 40s was arrested after clashing with police while wandering around shirtless on a road in Ingyedong, Paldalgu, Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. According to police, around 1:30 a.m. on the 27th, the man resisted by swinging his fists at an officer who had been dispatched after receiving a report that he was obstructing vehicle traffic. Police subdued the man with a Taser after a scuffle on the sixlane roundtrip road. It was reported that during questioning, the man rambled incoherently, saying that people were chasing him, and his family stated that he suffers from a mental illness. Police arrested him on the spot on charges of obstruction of official duties and then arranged emergency hospitalization.
