Xi Jinping Holds Talks with Namibian President Nandi-Ndaitwah

On the afternoon of July 10, President Xi Jinping held talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing with Namibian President Netumbo NandiNdaitwah, who is in China for a state visit. The two sides announced that bilateral relations would be elevated to an allweather ChinaNamibia community with a shared future for the new era. Xi Jinping said that China and Namibia have long maintained friendly mutual trust, and since the establishment of diplomatic relations, they have continuously deepened cooperation on the basis of treating each other as equals and supporting one another. China is willing to strengthen alignment of development strategies with Namibia, move forward hand in hand in the process of modernization, and expand cooperation in fields such as politics, the economy, and peopletopeople exchanges. During the talks, Xi Jinping put forward three proposals: first, to continue strengthening highlevel exchanges and dialogue on concepts and ideas; second, to make good use of zerotariff measures and related trade facilitation measures to promote cooperation in infrastructure, energy, minerals, agriculture, education, science and technology, and other areas; third, to strengthen solidarity and coordination and jointly uphold multilateralism as well as international fairness and justice. The two sides also signed cooperation documents in areas including trade and economic affairs, healthcare, education, and human resources, and issued a joint statement.
