On July 25, Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister, held talks with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Kulubaev in CholponAta, Kyrgyzstan. Wang Yi congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the successful hosting of the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and said that the Chinese side is willing to continue strengthening political mutual trust with the Kyrgyz side and advance cooperation in such areas as the ChinaKyrgyzstanUzbekistan Railway, port and border crossing construction, agriculture, energy and minerals, as well as artificial intelligence and the digital economy. The Chinese side also hopes that the Kyrgyz side will continue to improve the business environment and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinesefunded enterprises and personnel. Kulubaev said that the Kyrgyz side abides by the oneChina principle and is willing to deepen cooperation with the Chinese side in jointly building the Belt and Road, as well as in trade and economic ties, investment, finance, energy, and other areas, and supports the Chinese side's coordination and cooperation on multilateral platforms. After the meeting, Kulubaev signed on behalf of the Kyrgyz side the Convention on the Establishment of the International Mediation Institute, and both sides also attended the unveiling ceremony for the reopening of the Chinese Consulate General in Osh.
