Beijing Municipal CPPCC Offers Suggestions on the Development of Modern Rural Industries in the Beijing Suburbs
Upgrade rural industries in the Beijing suburbs and promote high-quality, more efficient integrated development of agriculture, culture, commerce, tourism, and sports Create original IP and new consumer scenarios to attract capital and support rural revitalization
On September 28, the Standing Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference held a special consultation session on "Developing modern rural industries in the Beijing suburbs and solidly advancing comprehensive rural revitalization." Members put forward suggestions on issues such as promoting the quality upgrade of urban modern agriculture, developing new productive forces in agriculture, and promoting the integration of agriculture, culture, commerce, tourism, and sports.
This year, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference organized a joint research team to conduct several investigations in districts related to agriculture. The research found that the industrial foundation of rural areas in the Beijing suburbs remains relatively weak, and the integration of diversified business forms still needs to be deepened. In particular, there is still room for improvement in areas such as the integration of agriculture, culture, and tourism, as well as rural leisure tourism consumption.
In response to these issues, the research team suggested supporting all districts in cultivating original rural cultural and tourism IPs, developing "small yet beautiful" cultural and tourism business formats, expanding winter entertainment and nighttime consumption scenarios, and, in combination with resources such as World Cultural Heritage and agricultural heritage, creating more attractive rural tourism destinations. Attending members also suggested improving diversified investment mechanisms to attract more social capital to participate in areas such as modern seed industry, smart agriculture, rural tourism, the digital economy, and leisure and wellness care, while leveraging the resource advantages of the capital's private economy to promote more precise matching between rural industries in the Beijing suburbs and enterprise demand.
