On September 8, the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Sichuan Provincial Supervisory Commission announced that Xiao Weihua, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Guang'an Municipal Government and vice mayor of Guang'an, is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law. Publicly available biographical information shows that Xiao Weihua was born in 1966 and is from Guang'an, Sichuan. He worked for a long time in disciplinary inspection, Party and government systems in Guang'an and related counties and cities, and previously held various positions in Wusheng County, Huaying City, and Guang'an.
