Chongqing Holds the Municipal Round of the National Youth Drone Competition

The Chongqing municipal competition of the 10th National Youth Drone Competition opened on June 13 at Fairy Mountain in Wulong, Chongqing. The competition lasts three days and has attracted more than 3,600 primary and secondary school students. The winning teams will represent Chongqing at the national finals. This year's event is hosted by the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics and features 10 events, including flight control, firstperson view flying, air combat, swarm dance, programming challenges, target reconnaissance, application scenario flight, simulated flight, creative flight, and cooperative challenges. Participants include students from primary schools, junior high schools, general senior high schools, and secondary vocational schools. At the opening ceremony, Chen Quan, one of China's first batch of astronauts, sent his best wishes to the participating youths, encouraging them to maintain their curiosity about science. The Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics also awarded the title of "National Aviation特色 School" to six schools in Chongqing. At the competition site, contestants completed maneuvers such as circling poles, flying through hoops, and landing, demonstrating their drone operation skills and teamwork abilities.
