President Lee discusses follow-up cooperation with Mongolia's parliament and cabinet

President Lee Jaemyung met consecutively with the Speaker of the Mongolian Parliament and the Prime Minister during his state visit to Mongolia, discussing followup measures to the KoreaMongolia summit and ways to expand bilateral cooperation. In Ulaanbaatar, President Lee met with Speaker Sandag Byambatsogt and requested support at the parliamentary level, emphasizing progress in cooperation on critical minerals, livestock and agriculture, and health care. In response, Speaker Byambatsogt said he hoped for expanded cooperation in areas such as visa simplification and the construction of Mongolia's second cancer center. At a later meeting with Prime Minister NyamOsor Uchral, they discussed cooperation in economic exchanges, innovation, minerals, and the defense industry, as well as plans for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and collaboration on the transition to renewable energy. President Lee is scheduled to present President Khurelsukh with a smartwatch and a Korean traditional bow set at the evening state dinner, and also visited the Memorial Hall of patriot Lee Taejoon and held a meeting with the Korean community in Mongolia on the same day.
