China-Czech relations deepen cooperation, Zhao Leji meets Czech Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Tomio Okamura Focusing on new energy, electric vehicles, and people-to-people exchanges to promote stable bilateral development
Beijing, July 23 — Zhao Leji, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, held talks with Tomio Okamura, speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on the 23rd.
Zhao Leji said that ChinaCzech relations are in line with the longterm interests of both countries. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the ChinaCzech strategic partnership, and China is willing to strengthen mutual trust with the Czech side, promote exchanges at all levels and practical cooperation, and foster the stable development of bilateral relations.
He also noted that the two sides can continue to expand cooperation in such areas as new energy, electric vehicles, peopletopeople exchanges, and locallevel cooperation, and strengthen exchanges between legislative bodies to carry out dialogue and mutual learning on issues of common concern. Tomio Okamura said that the Czech side adheres to the oneChina policy and hopes to further expand cooperation in areas such as trade, tourism, culture, and direct flights.
