National Healthcare Security Administration: 2026 Medical Insurance Commercial Insurance Drug Catalog Adjustment Application Submission Has Ended
The 2026 medical insurance catalog application submission has ended, with 818 drug dossiers submitted, an increase in the number of applications compared with 2025 The National Healthcare Security Administration will review and publicize the preliminary review results, and follow the new progress in catalog adjustments
According to a June 11 update from the National Healthcare Security Administration, the application submission period for adjustments to the 2026 National Basic Medical Insurance Drug List and the Commercial Health Insurance Innovative Drug List ended at 20:00 on June 10.
According to information released by the National Healthcare Security Administration’s WeChat public account, a total of 818 drug application materials were received during the application period, an increase from 2025. Among them, there were 570 applications for drugs outside the lists, including drugs applied for under the Basic List only, drugs applied for under the Commercial Health Insurance Innovative Drug List only, and drugs applied for under both lists; there were 248 applications for drugs within the lists.
Next, the National Healthcare Security Administration will conduct a formal review of all application materials and, after the preliminary review is completed, publicize the results to the public.
