The National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters has raised Jilin's flood control emergency response to Level III

According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, affected by Typhoon "Bavi," Jilin has recently experienced continuous heavy rainfall, the Songhua River section in Jilin has seen the No. 1 flood of the year, and the Meihe River, a tributary of the Huifa River, has also recorded the largest flood since measurements began. It is expected that from July 14 to 15, central and eastern Jilin will still see moderate to heavy rain, with localized torrential rain in the east. The flood prevention situation remains severe. The National Flood Control Headquarters raised its Level IV emergency response for flood control in Jilin to Level III at 16:00 on July 14, and said the working group dispatched earlier is continuing to assist and guide flood prevention and flood control efforts at the front line. Relevant departments remind that the risks of river floods, flash floods, geological disasters, dangerous situations at small and mediumsized reservoirs, and urban waterlogging are currently high, and monitoring, early warning, prevention, and response efforts must continue to be strengthened.
